MADAM HOLIDAY: THE LUCKY LAST

I’m about to start my holidays. It’s going to be just me, the complete series of Sex and the City and the latest Marian Keyes book which has been waiting ever so patiently for me to read it since I bought it the day it came out (yes I am a devoted fan – all hail the Queen of chic lit).

I don’t know about you, but it always takes me a few days to wind down when I start my holidays. I find myself walking around the house in circles, stuck half way between work mode and half way between holiday mode. I know I should be relaxing, but I can’t quite switch off, and keep opening my mac to check my emails or whore myself out on social media.

Then after a few blissful long sleep ins, something happens. My mind slows down, my body unwinds and I am completely in the moment. Time takes on a new quality and its new rhythm (I still have to spell check this word after all these years) allows me to notice the small things around me and simple things take on a new beauty.

In 2010 I hope to continue to bring you a blog that’s not only fabulous, but something different. Something that is real, heartfelt and honest. Which is why, this is my lucky last post for a week or so. Sure, I could churn out some posts, but they would be nothing more than the ramblings of a worn out writer in an attempt to keep up her google page rank, and something I don’t do my dear readers is mediocrity. That would not only be a grave injustice to myself and my writing, but to you my loyal readers.

2010 is set to be a cracker. There of course will be the obligatory post Christmas fat crisis and new years resolutions, but there will also be fresh insights as I bravely bare my soul to cyberspace and musings on love, sex, relationships, shopping and all things pertaining to that of being a woman. Oh, and let’s not forget many more product reviews and giveaways, as I continue to dive into my cupboards, which currently have more cosmetics than the shelves of David Jones.

If there are any topics you would like me to explore in 2010, please contact me here. I would love to know the things that move you and the things that trouble you being a modern woman as we move into a new decade.

Wishing you all a very fabulous Christmas!

Mwah xx
