The Editor-in-Chief takes a nurturing approach to connect with your career objective and beneficially aligns your internship experience accordingly.

Previous interns have often been promoted to paid positions within the magazine and have been recommended for successful paid placements within other organisations.

At the end of your internship program the Editor-in-Chief will provide you with a reference, and as a former Recruitment Consultant she can also review your resume to help place you in the strongest position possible to secure a job within the industry.

  • Searching for images that align with the MWSG magazine for scheduling on Hootsuite for publication on Twitter and Facebook
  • Assist with Twitter communications via Hootsuite
  • Ad-hoc PR administration

:: Description

The editor-in-chief of MWSG magazine also freelances in public relations, and has two exciting opportunities with one of her freelance clients.

Their PR department are seeking two enthusiastic and dedicated Communications/PR university students or graduates to join our PR department, and assist with an exciting online project that is revolutionising the blogging industry.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside an industry respected digital media expert, and also receive a free enrolment to a social media & online marketing course valued at $695.

The project’s PR Manager has worked extensively managing and nurturing intern placements, and would welcome interest from the successful intern to further develop their exposure and hands-on experience in other aspects of PR.

The internship offers the flexibility for you to work from home, or at the company’s studio in the heart of Melbourne. You can also work the hours that suit your lifestyle and they can be split up throughout the week.

:: Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or a graduate with a Communications or PR degree
  • Ability to commit to 4 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months

:: Responsibilities

 The below activity will be shared amongst two interns:

  • Researching contacts for media database
  • Updating databases with efficiency and strong attention to detail
  • Sourcing experts for blogging related guest posts
  • Uploading draft posts into WordPress
  • Assisting with social media communications and scheduling
